Finally, we can all have projectors! Projectors with 1080p resolution are finally affordable enough to fulfill our desire for 'big screens'. Better still, they come with integrated speakers and reasonable sound quality, and you may not need a sound system. They also have bigger zoom,  which give you more options in how far away you can place your projector from the screen. All the affordable projectors now also have at least one HDMI input, as well as a brightness of at least 1,000 lumens. Precaution: make sure you have electric supply at a constant voltage which keeps the projector lamps long lasting. A USP (uninterrupted power suplly) helps.

The best cheap projector: BenQ TH670 (provides great contrast ratio, as well as great color quality,  integrated speakers, lots of lumens for any size screen, backlit remote, and up to 10,000 hours of life from a single bulb. It also provides the best selection of image adjustments, with easy to understand settings. And a great backlit remote. Its UHP lamp will last for up to three years at four hours of use a day)
The second best cheap projector: InFocus ScreenPlay SP1080 (1080p resolution, generous zoom range, contrast ratio ratio only to benQ TH670).
The third best cheap projector: ViewSonic LightStream PJD7828HDL (Has  a unique streaming-stick slot but not that great a picture quality.)
