In a web posting, Andrea Donderi first put forward the idea of people being raised ijn two main types of cultures in this world - askers and guessers. Huh? You might ask.

Maybe it is another of those self-important phrases that so-called selfhelp experts tend to give and people already have doubts about thse new terms, in this Guardian article for example.

So, what defines a Asker culture and A Guesser culture?

In Ask culture, people grow up believing they can ask for anything – a favour, a pay rise– fully realising the answer may be no.
In Guess culture, by contrast, you avoid "putting a request into words unless you're pretty sure the answer will be yes… A key skill is putting out delicate feelers.

So, which culture do you belong to? Are you an Asker or a Guesser?As for me, I think this writer is a Guesser.
